I have read through everything I could find on Manual Scenes triggering an Automatic Scene.
In a nutshell, I want to have a manual trigger to turn something on to 100%. Then I want a manual trigger to really just go back to whatever auto scenes are running or scheduled.
My use case is for pool equipment but to keep it simple I’m just trying to run the pump. I have three Auto Scenes for the pump:
Auto1 - Between 08:00 and 10:00 turn on pump at speed 1.
Auto2 - Between 10:00 and 17:00 turn on pump at speed 2.
Auto3 - Between 17:00 and 08:00 turn off pump.
These Auto Scenes all work fine.
What I did was create a Manual Scene that turns the pump on to speed 1. That works and I can use that button at any time of day and it works.
What I want to do when I’m done with the pump at speed 1 is just go back to the prior schedule based on Auto1 - Auto3 above.
I have tried disabling all the Auto Scenes with my Manual Scene and then enabling them again with another Manual Scene. What happens in each case is that the pump stays on speed 1 - basically the last state it was in from the manual scene.
I’ve seen other topics where people have similar issues with the Auto Scenes not checking conditions. But most of those posts are now a couple years old.
Any help would be appreciated.
