Zigbee relay with dry contacts

Hello Everyone,

Can the Sonoff ZBMINI‑L2 be used with devices that require a dry contact, such as the Hörmann Promatic garage opener? I currently use a Sonoff MINI-D, which works fine. But I would like to use a ZigBee device that is compatible with the Sonoff ihost. What compact zigbee device can I use?

I just found this on AliExpress:

CZK72.84 | Zigbee Tuya Ewelink Smart Switch Module DC 7-32V 220V 1 Way Wireless Switch Relay Compatible With Alexa Google Home

No, it is not possible in my opinion or it will behave unstable. I have tested the Sonoff MINI-D device for dry contact. I installed it in the gate, to control the heating and it works reliably everywhere. The advantage is that it can be powered by 230V but also from 12 to 24V (tested).

I have it connected to iHost, I don’t know exactly whether I paired it or used ewelink smart home.

Brana 587 is Sonoff MINI-D device. It works in local mode without the need for a Cloud.

From ewelink:

if you want to use purely zigbee devices, you can use, for example, SONOFF ZBMINIR2 in combination expamle with:

Tested but I remind you that no appliance should go to the dry contact because it only serves to turn on and off. If the dry contact is not rated for the load, you can damage the device. If you want to know how to connect it, write here.

I use the module as a trigger for an external siren for an alarm and it has been working stably for 6 months, I don’t know why it should be unstable.

Yes, I use it that way too, but when I put it on the screen on nspanel pro it is not stable, often offline. However, if I use cast it works well. That’s why I thought it might be better if I use zigbee.

I have already reported the frequent dropout of the Matter Bridge in iHost. I have the same problem that my Matter Bridge drops.

if you want to share zigbee with iHost to NSpanel you have the same problem. besides NSpanel should see the mentioned relay even without ihost. at least that’s how it works for me.

I use nspanel pro in router mode. You can’t connect devices to it (except rtsp cameras). Does it work for you if both are zigbee hubs?
