I connected this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006966854362.html water leak sensor via Sonoff ZB-Bridge (1. Generation, FW: 1.7.0). As expected, the water drop was displayed as an icon.. Today, I replaced the old ZB-Bridge with the ZB-Bridge-U (FW: v1.11.0), and now the motion detector icon appears instead of the water drop icon. I want the water drop icon back.
The icon is an irrelevant element. What matters is whether the leak is being properly reported. If it is, you can change the icon to any other one in the eWeLink App. I’m assuming we’re talking about the eWeLink app. On the device card, there’s an option called ‘Display As.’ While the leak sensor isn’t listed, the most fitting icon is ‘Sprinkles.’ Once you change it, it’s best to wait for a response from the eWeLink developers. Even though your sensor is theoretically compatible with the eWeLink platform, it may not necessarily identify correctly as a water leakage sensor. Keep in mind that both sides of the pairing process are responsible for proper identification.
In my humble opinion, the icon could even depict Winnie the Pooh, as long as the sensor reports correctly.
None of my ZigBee devices has this option.
