I recently purchased a water leak sensor from ewelink. It displays perfectly in the app and on the website and pairing went smoothly. Then I unpaired the sensor from the app and tried pairing it with IHost. iHost found it, but marked it as a motion sensor. I don’t know why everything is normal in the app, but it’s wrong in iHost. The next thing I tried was synchronizing to iHost, it went well and the sensor displayed correctly. So why doesn’t iHost itself mark the sensor correctly.
I don’t know, something in their hardware database is probably misconfigured.
If you bought the sensor shown in the picture, it’s definitely not a Sonoff product, and eWeLink itself doesn’t manufacture it. At most, some manufacturers/sellers declare “compatibility” with eWeLink, but sometimes that doesn’t mean it works flawlessly.
It works flawlessly in the application. It shows the status of water leakage, normal and can be used offline. Rather, the problem is that devices work differently across ewelink, even the sonoff, not always what works on zb pro works on zb ultra or oscube and the ewelink app or website vice versa. I understand that new devices have to be implemented for some time, but the hardware database is different for each instrument.
Hello, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. To help our technical team pinpoint the issue more accurately, could you please provide the Device ID of the water leak sensor? Additionally, please submit feedback through the iHost local web page and be sure to upload the relevant logs – this will provide key information for our in-depth analysis. Thank you for your cooperation!
