【TRVZB】Firmware Changelog

Do you have any news about the impossibility to upgrade to 1.3.0 firmware ?

Your device has been updated to V1.3.0, but the APP mistakenly shows the old firmware version. Please reproduce the issue and submit feedback through the APP (Profile → Help & Feedback → Feedback).

After submitting your feedback, kindly send me your eWeLink account username via private message, and I’ll ensure our team is aware of your feedback on time.

I submitted a feedback with this problem too.
I’m now sending you my eWeLink account username via private message.Thank you.

Have you also updated your ZBBridge Pro gateway to 2.4.0?

yes it is updated, they said that the bug will be fix on the next app update

Okay. In two households, I updated ZBBridge Pro first and then everything else and everything was fine. In the third household, I updated the other devices first and I still had TRVZB as 1.2.1 even after a successful update. Then it offered me to update ZBBridge Pro to 2.4.0 and everything settled to 1.3.0 for TRVZB.

Ewelink app 5.14.0 is out. Maybe your phone automatically updated the app today. Firmware versions correctly reported as 1.3.0.

By the way, accuracy adjustment (hysteresis) is now available. Time to try it

Only Android version. Ios version will be available at the end of the month :frowning:

I have a question/doubt about 1.3.0 (hysteresis) firmware. When you go to TRVZB setting and select temp adjustment you can see an explanation of how hysteresis works, just as correctly reported in 1.3.0 changelog here. But there’s one more note that is not clear and someone of ewelink/sonoff staff should explain better. Here is a screenshot of what is reported:

What is adaptive mode exactly? Why should it be disabled enabling Temp Accuracy? What are we giving up to have hysteresis setting?

nothing yet, it doesn’t offer me an update yet.

Me neither. I also tried to look for the update, nothing yet and I’m on Android.

Enabling? More like “Change Temp. Accuracy”, otherwise I don’t know what Adaptive Mode is? Can someone explain?

Otherwise, in version 5.14.0, some APP translations that had already been made were lost, both in the basic TRVZB view and in the “Device Settings” menu itself. After about an hour, the translations were suddenly back there again, so maybe the translations were loaded from somewhere?

Hysteresis (I’m already testing Temp. Accuracy) and I’m curious how the time change (DST) will turn out in about 14 days.

Yes, “enabling” or as you say, setting a “less than one degree” hysteresis. The question remains… What is adaptive mode? Why is it automatically disabled when enabling “temp accuracy”?
Who knows? Waiting for ewelink/sonoff staff to explain.
@eWeLink

@Archarr any chance you can clarify this?

This was an oversight in our feature introduction. We initially planned to include the “Adaptive Mode” function that can automatically adjust valve opening percentage, but to ensure a better user experience, we decided to postpone its release beyond V1.3.0.

However, we mistakenly left references to “Adaptive Mode” in the temperature control accuracy description. We apologize for any confusion.

In the new version 5.14.0, we have adjusted the names of some functions

In the device user interface:

  • off→Standby
  • OFF(Frost-protection)→Anti-freeze Mode

In the device settings:

  • Frost protection→Anti-freeze Mode

Perhaps there was a problem in the process of updating the text. Is the current translation back to the latest name?

Hi Dimsen,

Sorry for any trouble! Are you still unable to update to the new version?

I don’t know if anything would appear on Crowdin. Otherwise, instead of Off or Standby, I would use “Waiting” - CZ “Čeká” and instead of “Heating” and “Warms” - CZ “Topí” or “Hřeje” for the displayed states. If there are no whole sentences, I am for the most concise and shortest translation (even if not the literal one), with long translations the text disappears even after the dots …
Anti-freeze Mode - “Protimrazový režim” or “Režim proti zamrznutí” is fine, but “OFF” was also useful there. Last year I switched to OFF outside the heating season at my mother’s, but then I found out that it was not the best solution, since every longer press of the TRV with my butt meant losing it from the list of devices. And it was the OFF that was there that led me to this and to a new way of turning off the heads outside the heating season - on MAN set to, for example, 8°C (far from OFF and possible accidental deletion of the device and at the same time the TRV head does not turn on).
