Why can’t we trigger the thermostat of the NSPanel with another device. What I mean by this is for ex., if the window is open (magnetic ZigBee sensor) disable the thermostat. Sounds easy right, or more advance stuff like set the thermostat (manual mode) to a certain temperature, from the ZigBee button or presence sensor. When I activate the “AWAY mode” of the ZigBee bridge Pro set the temp to a preset temp… So many software limitations Ewelink, so much wasted hardware.
Some firmwares ago, we can control the NSP Pro’s Thermostate.
I made a scene for Enable/Disable and to switch Manual/Auto function with an R5 scene controller. That will be cool if we get back! More over, if we can set the temperature…
BTW in V3.5.3 FW The heating icon doesn’t match with the action device status when you control it manually!
e.g.:
Actual temperature : 20,7°C
Accuracy ±0,5°C (Hope it will be ±0,1°C soon )
#1 Manual set temp.: 21,0°C → no action
#2 Manual set temp.: 21,5°–> action device turn ON, heating icon appered
#3 Manual set temp.: 21°C–> action device Still ON, heating icon DISappered
#4 Manual set temp: 20,0°C–> action device turn OFF, no icon
(My) Preferred operation:
#1 If you control it manually, It should check the set temp. is above or below the actual temp. and do the action without the accuracy (Or like the accuracy is zero)!
#2 When you set the temp with “+” or “-” buttons (or the bar too), it has to have a delay. So not immediately check it has to do the action or not. Delay time = 1-2s (or it can be set in the settings too by us) Why I suggest this? Try to change the temp. with ±2°C or more with the “+” or “-” buttons.
Hey all,
Thx for the proposal.
The feature was suspended due to technical issues that are difficult to fix. At the moment, there’s no plan to bring it back. Previously created scenes will continue working.
That’s a good one. “Hard to fix”. So someone did it but it was not working properly ? Use ChatGPT and try to fix it :)) . Just say it’s not a priority, otherwise I will assume that they only release easy to fix features.
I wish everything were that simple and worked perfectly out-of-the-box, too, so every user’s need could be fulfilled. But sadly, that’s not the case in the short term, especially for issues related to complex cloud platforms.
