Thermo Plugin

I seem to be unable to do with the Thermo plugin what I assume it is there to do. Would it be sensible to remove the roduct from eWelink until it is working as it should. I have just wasted two days of my life trying to control some heaters with it, which I had assumed that was what it was designed for, but clearly this is beyond its scope. What do you think?

I proposed a solution and gave it to the ewelink team.

Lets hope they take notice.

Thanks again for your help

Gary

Manage the scene so that when the first thermostat turns on it blocks the other thermostats. when the second one turns on it blocks 1 and 3+. that works but the more thermostats you cycle the worse it gets.

Thank you, but I am not sure I fully understand. I assume by Thermostat you are referring to the thermo Plugin thermostats, rather than the sonoff temperature sensors, is that right?
So are they interfering with one another, so that a thermostat set up for one room, influences another?
Or are you meaning time zones and temperatures in the schedules in the one thermo?

I think I am having the last one where the setting up of multiple time zones and temperatures, this is clearly not working

I think of Thermo Plugin as a thermostat. Their thermo plugin is suitable for controlling an electric heater at most. If someone wants multi-zone heating, it won’t work if the thermostats turn off each other….

Sorry, it took me until now to realise what you were saying, I did not consider for one moment that each thermostat scene, if we call then that, affects the others! That is total madness and as you say makes the plugin useless for anything other than a single very simple device. I have wasted days trying to get to the bottom of this. A shame there has been no warning from the developers. Again as you said, it could have wrecked your ASHP.

My English is poor, I can’t express myself very well. Now that you know where the problem is. You can make scenes to prevent the thermostats from being affectet.

Your english is very good. It was largely my fault for not really knowing what to call the Thermo plugin, plus of course some very “interesting” naming from eWeLink. Once I realised that the plugin, as you described is the thermostat, it all made sense, I was thinking of the sensors as the stats

Hopefully they will fix it. Now it can’t be used for multi-zone heating with advanced features.
