Hello! I would like to sync NSPanel Pro thermostat to Home Assistant. Can You make it possible? Thanks!
Hi, NSPanelPro currently does not have this feature, but I’d like to ask you more about your specific use case. Are you looking to sync all your thermostat settings to Home Assistant?
Hi! Currently I have my Zigbee devices connected to NSPanel Pro. The devices are sync-ed to HA, so I can create virtual thermostat is Home Assistant (I have many other things in HA, so I need to manage them is one place). In case of HA failure, I still have access to Zigbee devices, but the Heating system is not controlled anymore, for example a heating panel can remain in ON state forever, what is dangerous… It is better way to create the termostat locally, and only change the target temperature, the on/off state or preset settings from HA, so a potential HA problem will not stop the heating system.
Is it possible to implement this feature?
I understand what you mean now.
Actually, the thermostat on the NSPanelPro currently runs locally (if both the temperature source and the controlled device are sub-devices under the NSPanelPro gateway). However, the thermostat settings cannot be directly synced to Home Assistant for management. If the thermostat could support syncing to HA, and HA were to experience issues, any settings related to the thermostat that were deleted in HA would still not take effect.
I will need to discuss this with my colleagues and also gather feedback from other users to explore whether there’s a better solution to implement this feature. Thank you for your suggestion regarding the NSPanelPro.
