NSPanel Pro Gen2 as a Thermostat

I have an NSPanel Pro Gen2 that I want to use as a controller for my under floor heating system. The existing thermostat uses a “switched live” that tells the UFH controller to switch on.

I have wired the switched live to one of the relay outputs on the NSPanel. When I toggle the relay button on the screen, it works (ie my room starts to heat up). However, I want the ability to operate this as a thermostat using the zigbee temperature sensor as the input and automate the relay based on the set point.

I can’t seem to find a way to have the relay act as an actuator for a thermostat control. Is this supported ?

Hi, did you create the thermostat in the app and want to use the two switches on the Gen2 as the control actions?

In version 4.7.0, the Central Thermostat already supports selecting these two switches as control actions. You can try creating a Central Thermostat and see whether it meets your needs. Please refer to the following guide for the detailed setup steps:

Is there anyway to expose this newly created Thermostat as a Matter device ?

My pleasure, Would you like to sync this thermostat to a third-party Matter platform for display and control? If so, this is not currently supported.

Please describe your intended use case in more detail, and we’ll look into possible solutions.

I want to expose the thermostat in Home assistant. The two relays are exposed through Matter, but the Thermostat isn’t.

I’m not able to control the thermostat through the eWelink app either.

Okay, I’d also like to ask: if this thermostat can be created and edited in the eWeLink app, would you still want to sync it to Home Assistant for control?

Ideally yes to have it exposed in Homeassistant too, as that is mine (and probably many others) primary interface in their home. I’;m hoping that as this device can act as a Matter bridge, it can be exposed in the same way that other relays and sensors are.
