👨‍💻‍【Release Note】eWeLink CUBE V2.4.0 Update: Matter Lights, External Sensors for TRV, and More

Yeah, I’m not updating yet! I see there is still issues with the Sonoff TRVs also.

Maybe I’ll chance it on the next update… and maybe not!

I took my brave pill and hit the update button. Let’s see if this update sends me to the medieval times, candles and such.

Are there a lot of candles and such? Any bells? Did the earth tremble?

Let’s say I haven’t had much luck with my IKEA smart bulbs ever since firmware version 2.3 (when Zigbee2Cube disappeared from the Pilot Features submenu). It’s been a nightmare ever since. I gave the iHost the benefit of the doubt, thinking the issue might be with Node-RED. But no—it turns out the problem lies with the iHost firmware itself.

Even with version 2.4, there’s this persistent and annoying issue where the bulbs randomly lose connection to the iHost for no apparent reason. Sometimes they lag massively or don’t respond at all.

But the worst experience? One pitch-black morning, I had to drive to the airport, the motorway was already clogged, and I was short-fused to begin with. Then the iHost decided to go berserk. No light in the bedroom, and in the bathroom? A full-blown disco party. Lights flickering on and off, shifting between 50% and 100%, warm and neutral tones—it was chaos. Absolutely maddening. :grimacing:

@ward Can I get the access to the Skunk Works inside Sonoff?

hey,

Sorry for the madness of iHost, can you send us system log for a look?

And if possible could you provide some device id you had issue with?

Thx in advance

Hello,
Did you know if smart lock will be managed by matter in the next version ?
For my case I got Yale Leenius 2 https://yalehome.fr/serrure-connectee-linus-l2/?srsltid=AfmBOop0QrxK-hFNIrT5PDyPdZomTVbSEzx-L49zpvCtqtfphRg1ZkE-
And I got an error when try to synchronised. The error said something like device not supported.
Thanks.

ihost does not support matter devices like locks. I suspect that it will not be possible soon. if you want to control the lock via matter, you must use another platform that supports matter (- e.g. smartthings).

I though the problem was the file size, but even this 1.7Mb log file resulted an “Upload error”
