Problems with ZBMINIR2

I have a ZBMINIR2 that controls a B05-BL lamp. It uses a regular switch to control it. ZBMINIR2 is in “Detach relay mode”. A scene is set to control the smart lamp: if ZBMINIR2 is pressed, then the lamp is reversed. Everything worked fine. A few days ago, probably after updating ZB Bridge-P to version 2.5.0, problems with turning the lamp on/off started. When I press the switch, the lamp turns on, turns off and then turns on again. After that, the ZBMINIR2 LED flickers very quickly for about 10 seconds. If I press the switch while the LED is flickering, the ZBMINIR2 device switches to the off position, despite the fact that “Detach relay mode” is activated. The voltage to the lamp stops and it cannot be controlled.

What I tried:

  • reset ZBMINIR2
  • selected different switch types in ZBMINIR2
  • restart ZB Bridge-P
  • deleted and recreated the lamp control scene
  • selected another device to control

None of these helped.
I looked at the logs and noticed that after each press of the switch, the device control scene is triggered three times instead of once. I have attached screenshots from the ewelink app.

I bought another one ZBMINIR2 and it also does not work correctly. Does anyone have the same problem with this equipment? I wrote to support, but no one answers. No answer here. Or should I throw this junk away?

Please submit your feedback in the eWeLink App,the issue will be referred to the relevant Sonoff staff and reviewed by them.

I have the exact same problem as you describe which started with the 2.5 upgrade. I have a support ticket open with ewelink for 4 days now. I only got 1 reply which did not help

This is a device function issue, which is already being investigated by relevant Sonoff employees

FYI, have a similar issue with a Mini R4 and R5. trying to control te Mini R4 output with the REVERSE action in a SCENE and the result is very erratic. It turns on/off randomly. Seems very similar to the same issue. Scene seems to trigger multiple times, so the REVERSE action gets executed multiple times with a single press of R5.
