Random freezes (Android message that the application is not responding), device restart required,
zigbee in Router mode does not work with the pro version gateway, I bought an ultra gateway specifically, the devices finally connected but can lose connection (I have 3 nspanel pro and regardless of the distance of 2m from the gateway up to 20m) - ZBBridge-U V1.17.1,
The problem with RTSP cameras, the first one is sporadic failure to load the image or device freezing (loading endlessly), sometimes on one panel it works, on the other it doesn’t, the loading problem is random and depends only on nspanel (in fact, at the same time on one panel it doesn’t work, I go to the other and it loads correctly)
Second problem with RTSP cameras: Bad layout/bug. 16:9, 4:3 image obscures part of the interface, leaving empty space at the bottom. In short, cameras don’t display properly (it worked on versions 3.X.X).
When there’s no internet, ZigBee devices don’t work, so everything goes outside the local network instead of the LAN. This is incorrect, especially since it’s a router for the Ultra Gateway. This serious problem should be fixed as a priority, as lights and other devices can’t be turned on or off without internet. Both devices support Matter and are advanced enough to communicate locally instead of via the cloud. (sonoff ZBBridge-U / sonoff NSPanel pro)
Thermostat problems - described in another topic by me and many other users
No ability to scroll screens infinitely (you cannot move to the last screen by swiping left), worked on versions 3.x.x.
I have 3 nspanel pro and a total of over 50 devices in ewelink, only zigbee 35
When there is a temporary internet outage, a significant part of the devices are useless, which scares me, I hope that Sonoff/EweLink devices will be supported and developed and the problems will be solved.
I tried to explain to the management that it would be good if it allowed to make local scenes and control modules. I still say that the gateway is not worth buying since it is only a pro version with a few bonuses.
The mentioned bugs are known, I also reported them. As far as I know, 4.2.2 is a beta version, it needs to be reported via the ewelink app.
Fortunately, the thermostat is already being addressed and has advanced to the point where it can control more complex heating systems.
I don’t know why they won’t allow dual mode in full. local scenes and cloud with rym that on the ultra it will be possible to directly control devices and local scenes.
They often mention that ultra and nspp have a local mode, but the truth is that without Cloud, the settings cannot be changed and they only work partially.
Please promptly submit the NSPanelPro logs after the issue occurs (by pulling down the screen → Settings → About → Feedback → Submit), and then send your device ID directly to me.
Could you clarify whether it is the NSPanelPro in router mode that frequently disconnects, or is it other connected sub-devices? (Please submit feedback in the eWeLink app via Profile > Feedback & Help, and check the option for the abnormal device “ZBBridge-U”.)
Slow loading of video feeds is generally related to the network connection of the device. I will conduct some tests to verify whether there are other factors affecting the performance.
Are you referring to the issue where the 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio icons are displayed on the screen, causing obstruction of the camera feed?
Are you referring to the situation where the NSPanelPro in router mode is not connected to Wi-Fi, causing other sub-devices to become uncontrollable? In normal hub mode, the NSPanelPro can operate within the local network.
Regarding the thermostat issue, I reviewed your feedback in other topics but couldn’t find the specific logs you submitted. Could you please provide a detailed description of the problem you encountered (or demonstrate it via a video) and then submit the NSPanelPro logs?
In version 4.x.x, due to the significant performance impact of this feature, the split-screen mode does not support cyclic switching. We will strive to find a better solution to implement it in future updates.
Thank you for your feedback.
I will like to add provlem with Alarm Panel. The NSPanel pro 120 shows ALARM mensaje in Panel, shoot Siren and Ewelink message but ITS NOT ARMED . It is so crazy. I gotas two NSpanelpro120 in diferent houses and is the dame issue. I can use it.
I apologize for the issue. Could you please submit the NSPanelPro logs promptly after the problem occurs? (Go to Top drop-down menu → Settings → About → Feedback → Submit ). After submitting, send your device ID to me privately, and I will work on locating the issue as soon as possible.
After the 4.3 update, there’s a major problem. Devices added to the home screen launch their own card instead of controlling the device, which is useless. I have a three-button switch. I added each one individually, but instead of turning the light on/off, the lighting card opens, which is absurd. You have to press the icon perfectly to control the light.
However, I’ve encountered new bugs. Of course, the previous ones haven’t been fixed. The new bug is that the automatic backlight, which previously worked perfectly, freezes. Now I have to periodically go into the settings to disable and enable automatic screen brightness adjustment.
Does MQTT work in ZigBee router mode? There’s a bug. Before the update (in version 4.2.2), it didn’t connect at all. Now it’s connected to HA, but nothing appears and I can’t configure it. Does this allow compatible Matter/MQTT devices to be displayed on the panel?
An option to add an application button on the home screen would be very useful. My second request is to be able to display/trigger the RTSP camera feed on NSpanel, so that when the bell is clicked, it natively displays the camera feed for a minute and then sends it to the desktop. I’ve sent notifications from the panels.
Camera bug:
One problem solved, the zigbee connection to the ultra gateway seems to be finally stable (v4.3.0).
Camera rtsp
When it comes to loading images from cameras, it’s a lottery, it’s unstable (it works on one panel, not on the other and randomly), in version 3.X.X it worked (it could take longer to load, but not as long as now and it always loaded eventually, and now it won’t load even after a while, resetting nspanel has no effect on it, especially as I wrote, it can fail to load on one panel, I go to the other one and it works.
The image from the cameras overlaps the top menu and leaves a lot of unused space at the bottom and the image itself has the wrong proportions, the change button does not work at all, it only changes the position as seen in the photos from the previous post (see the icons in the 16:9/4:3 photos) it moves the image up but does not change the proportions.
Are you referring to the situation where the NSPanelPro in router mode is not connected to Wi-Fi, causing other sub-devices to become uncontrollable? In normal hub mode, the NSPanelPro can operate within the local network.
I’m talking about situations when there’s no internet (WiFi works but there’s no access to the cloud/internet) then zigbee devices don’t work from the application and panels (panels are in router mode so they transmit the signal and are visible to the zigbee ultra gateway), I’ve enabled HA to be able to control the devices locally (mqtt) in an emergency, but this isn’t a perfect solution because the native nspanel application can’t control these devices (zigbee)
This issue will be fixed in an upcoming patch version.
Regarding the image loading issue, you can provide the logs and send me your device ID so I can confirm the specific cause.
Actually, there is a difference—it’s just that the 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios are relatively close on the NSPanelPro. You can observe the variations in the displayed image area.
Are you referring to the situation where your Zigbee devices are added under ZBBridgeU, and if the NSPanelPro has no network connection, you cannot control the sub-devices under ZBBridgeU from the panel?
So, when the panel is disconnected from the cloud, we lose control of ZigBee devices (I have three panels, so even if one of them was a gateway, it wouldn’t solve the problem). I bought a ZigBee Ultra gateway specifically for better stability, but it doesn’t support LAN mode like nspanel does. Even though I can pair the HA (which I recently got) via MQTT and it works locally without access to the cloud. I’m surprised that nspanel can’t send a command to the gateway over LAN or control ZigBee if possible. It only has to send a command to the cloud, which returns, which makes ZigBee devices slower than the old ones via Wi-Fi (a regression).
The second bug in the new version is that even though I set the panel not to go into sleep/dim mode, changing the setting to “never” doesn’t work. It still worked on the previous version, 4.2.2.
The issue you mentioned is crucial. Our team is currently working on a solution to enable ZBBridge-U, iHost, and NSPanel Pro to operate on the same local network. We aim to actively address scenarios where users need local network control for their devices.
This issue has been resolved in the dedicated version 4.3.2 . Please send me your NSPanel Pro’s Device ID , and I will deploy a firmware version that fixes this problem for your device.
Will device control be improved? Now, instead of turning it on/off, the device tab opens. I use nspanel as light switches (on the home page). These panels are practically useless now. I don’t know how such a major bug crept into version 4.3?
Thank you for your understanding. We will certainly do so. After the release of version 4.3.0, we received many user suggestions. Our team is currently prioritizing the optimization of device control interactions.
Hi, @vodkon
Regarding the device card interaction issue you raised, we have developed a preliminary optimization plan and opened a dedicated discussion topic. We sincerely invite you to review the proposals and share your suggestions—your input is crucial to us.
