I’m trying to add 4 different cameras directly from my DVR to the iHost, in order to use them within Cast.
However, when adding them manually via RTSP, I’m only able to add my first camera. After that, even if I change the channel, it says the device already exists. Is there any way to work around this?
Please see the attached screenshot showing the issue.
Thank you for your question! Regarding your issue:
Each camera’s RTSP link should be different (for example, differing usernames, passwords, or IP addresses). Please confirm that the links you are entering are correct and ensure they are not the same as the first camera’s link.
If you have entered different and correct RTSP addresses and iHost still prompts an error, please provide the iHost system logs after your attempts.
Wouldn’t it be possible to change the logic? Sometimes we want to install cameras that are physically connected to a DVR and we can only configure one camera to the iHost!
I tried to connect several RTSP cameras, but none of them worked. A gray frame appears and that’s it. On VLAN and ODM they all work, but on iHost they don’t. The cameras are for tuya, but I don’t think it matters as long as they have rtps that works on applications like VLAN.
Thank you for your suggestion. I will record this issue, and we will find a corresponding device to test and reproduce the problem. I will get back to you shortly. Thank you for your patience!
a screenshot doesn’t help, because each camera has its own settings, its own data stream. Install ODM (ONVIF DEVICE MANAGER), make sure to set the same access password for all cameras, in ODM put the user admin and the password set on the cameras. ODM will scan the cameras in the LAN and will provide you the url for the video stream of each camera.
