I’m using about 30 sonoff devices via eWeLink at 3 different locations since more than 10 years, remote controlling temperature & heating and switching lights, TV and other gear and to say that year over year it was growing to a very reliable system that I recommend many times.

Like many other users although I still miss the very important functionality of presence simulation (lights switching on and off during the night, but every night at different time, times an duration, varying randomly), scheduling random timers for light, asked for more than once here in this forum over the years !
I knew this function from the broadlink smart switches I tried before I encountered sonoff & eWeLink, they are still working like a charm - here functionality is implemented in the switch!
I don’t know if it’s possible at all to add this to the sonoff switches - afaik first of all it has to be supported by the hardware, I guess there had to be an option for computing random events?
Next, firmware of basic, mini, S20 etc. would have to be upgraded to this new random scheduling, and then eWeLink!
At the Broadlink app I have to open “random scheduling”, specify a time slot, let’s say 0h20 - 5h45 an average duration for ON, let’s say 8 (+/-50%) minutes AND an average duration for OFF, eg 40 (+/-50%) minutes.
Now, in between 0h20 and 5h45 light will go ON anywhere in the first 60 minutes for a duration of min. 4 to max. 12 minutes, then OFF for min. 20 to max. 60 minutes an so on…
So, randomly computed before the next switching has to be the ON duration, then the OFF duration and so on…
But if that wasn’t possible in the firmware - on the other hand it should be possible as automated scenes, because from my understanding a scene “dawn to sunset “ is also computed on the servers and at the right moment a ON or OFF trigger is sent from sever to smart switch, right?
So - could we please have this function? To eventually prevent our homes from burglary and robbery?
