Matter Scene problem

Hello. I have a Sonoff Ultra controller at home, and I can add my Zemismart ZML3 RGBCW LED controller as a Matter controller. This allows me to control the light intensity, color, and dimmer of the devices. However, I cannot control this ZML3 controller (and actually all my Matter controllers) from the scene. What could be the reason for this? When I add these devices to my Aqara M3 hub, they can be controlled from the scene.

I’d like to first confirm a few details with you to make sure I fully understand your issue.

  1. The device with the problem, Zemismart ZML3 RGBCW LED, is itself a Matter over Wi-Fi device (I’ve seen the official product link: Zemismart Matter Over WiFi Led Strip Light Controller RGBCW Smart Led Driver Support Smartthings Alexa Google Home App Control).
  2. You are using the Matter Hub feature of the ZBBridge-U gateway to add the ZML3 device to the ZBBridge-U via the eWeLink app, and you can normally control it in the eWeLink app (on/off, brightness adjustment, color control, etc.).
  3. You are unable to select the ZML3 device (or in fact any Matter devices added under the ZBBridge-U gateway) as a trigger or an action in eWeLink app scenes.

Additionally, please note that when using Matter features, you must ensure that the ZBBridge-U and the Matter device (ZML3) are on the same local area network (LAN). For example:

  1. ZBU (192.168.50.3) vs ZML3 (192.168.50.47) — they are on the same LAN.
  2. ZBU (192.168.1.3) vs ZML3 (192.168.50.47) — they are not on the same LAN.
