I see there is the option to link a trv to an external sensor. Has anyone managed to get this to work? Every time I try i says failed.

when they first introduced the ability I tested it with my TRV locally on an iHost. They restricted it to only their temperature sensors, which is fair enough as some you can update not very often, but I don’t really see why if a sensor updates often enough it is an option. Bought some T/H sensors before they changed the battery because I wanted longer lasting ones that are easy to recharge (some have 2 AAA batteries). Also switches can directly bind to things. Also wondered if the T/H sensors bound directly to the TRV rather than via the hub: they don’t, so I can confirm they then worked on an iHost.
