I have a problem with the webhook

Can anyone tell me where the webhook in the “if” facility has gone? I can’t even access the ones I created a long time ago because the window is inactive. What the hell have they created?

And a question for the ewelink staff. Why can’t I use a manual scene with a webhook from my phone? I want to use this manual scenario via a shortcut on my phone, not just from the Cast panel!!! What’s the point of a premium subscription if its functionality is so limited???

Ewelink employees, will there be any explanation as to where the web hooks disappeared to?

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We understand your concerns and would like to clarify each point below.

1. About the Webhook field in the “If” condition

If you are referring to why your Figure 2 does not look the same as Figure 1, specifically why there is no URL field shown on the right side of the Webhook, this is expected behavior.

In Figure 2, the scene is still in the creation/editing stage.
Once the scene is fully created and saved, the Webhook URL will be generated automatically and displayed, just like what you see in Figure 1.

2. About not being able to access previously created Webhook scenes

You mentioned that you “can’t even access the ones created a long time ago because the window is inactive.”

In many cases, this may be related to the associated device being offline or no longer valid, which can cause the scene configuration to appear inactive or uneditable.

Could you please let us know which specific scene or device you are referring to?
If possible, a screenshot and your eWeLink account would be very helpful so we can investigate this issue further for you.

3. About using manual scenes with Webhooks on mobile phones

Regarding your question about why manual scenes with Webhooks cannot be used on mobile, this has been carefully evaluated by our team before.

Based on our research:

  • The vast majority of users create and manage Webhook-based scenes on desktop browsers, where copying, editing, and managing URLs across different web pages is much more convenient.

  • The number of users editing such scenes on mobile devices is relatively small, and the overall experience on mobile is currently not as efficient as on the web.

Thanks. Figured it out. But the question of using webhook scenes on a phone remains open. I created a “on-click” webhook script - a “manual scene.” I use this scene in the cast panel. I want to install the same scene - to use it on the phone’s desktop as a widget, but “on-touch” scenes with webhooks don’t display on the phone. The question isn’t about editing, but about using them, installing the “manual” scene widget!!! I use a webhook for automation together with the MacroDroid program on the phone, and it’s incredibly inconvenient, since I have to forward the webhook to the phone via Bluetooth. Now I want the webhook to be triggered by an NFC tag through MacroDroid. NFC in MacroDroid works much better than in Ewelink. For NFC to work in Ewelink, Ewelink needs to launch itself. MacroDroid doesn’t have this; it reads tags without opening itself.

Get it. We’ve recorded your suggestion and will seriously consider the implementation of this use-case and related functionality.
