How to Cycle White Color Temperature with Sonoff R5 Remote Long Press?

Hello everyone,

I’m using a Sonoff iHost system with a Zigbee LED light that supports adjustable white color temperature (cool to warm) and a Sonoff R5 Zigbee remote. I would like to configure the system so that holding down a button on the R5 remote cycles through the white color temperature of the LED light.

I’ve tried setting up automations in the iHost and eWeLink app, but I can’t figure out how to achieve a continuous cycle of color temperature changes triggered by a long press.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

  1. The R5 remote is successfully paired with the iHost.
  2. The LED light responds to individual button presses, but I can’t create a loop for cycling the white temperature.
  3. I’ve looked into the scenes and automations, but I can’t find a clear way to implement this feature.

Is there a way to configure this within the iHost/eWeLink system, or do I need to use something like Home Assistant for more advanced automations?

Any guidance, detailed steps, or examples would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

ihost doesn’t have such complex scenes. With scenes using R5 you can only set specific values of color and brightness. (eg. Long press - one value. Double press - another value.)

You can create complex scenes in NODE-RED
