Devices:
Galaxy 6 Classic watch and
Samsung s23 Ultra
-both updated to latest software as of 11 Feb 2026
eWeLink phone software v5.22.1, watch software (re)installed via phone app on the above date.
Have the Prime plan.
The good stuff:
-
The watch app is fairly responsive and works over WiFi (ie is stand-alone and doesn’t need to be connected to the phone to work - appears to connect direct from the watch to eWeLink’s servers)
-
Scenes: work exactly as expected, inching timers etc work as programmed and multiple (more than 2) scenes can be set up on the watch: easy to scroll to reach “lower” scenes and activate
Bug Reports (the not-so-good stuff):
- Devices: essentially none of the above applies
- Only 2 devices appear on the watch at a time, no matter how many are set up (and are shown) via the phone app
- If a device is removed from the watch app (via the phone app), it can’t be re-added at a later time. Even thought it shows under ‘device control’ on the phone, it doesn’t appear on the watch.
- Inching timers on the ‘Devices’ screen don’t work - the device stays on until manually toggled off
- the eWeLink app on the watch can’t be set as a tile - can only be accessed via the app drawer.
- the app always opens to the devices screen, can’t be set to automatically open to the scenes screen.
My workaround to only 2 devices available was to create simple Scenes that toggle a single device, then add those to the scenes screen. This isn’t pretty, but it works!
Hopefully this is a project under active development and these issues will be remedied in later releases.
As it stands, am pretty happy with the app at present (see workaround above) and are finding it genuinely useful.
