I own several Sonoff devices, eg the S20. Status of each device is shown correctly in the app. I am able to turn on and off via Alexa skill. When I try to turn device on or off directly in the app or when trying to set a timer, the app reports that an error occurred. Any ideas on how to fix that?

try to logout and re-login to the app, to see if the device responds.
@Teki, Sonoff Smart Socket doesn’t work with eWelink, so logout and re-login as suggested will not work.
