Estimate power consumption on non-power sensing devices

Could you add estimate power consumption on non-power sensing device?
it needs to add “connected devices power” to the sonoff setting and get calculations from the log “On and Off” time.

Hey

Thx for the suggestion! This feature is already in discussion!

If you have detailed ideas, we are glad to know more, like:

what device would you want to add the feature and
what kind of estimation calculation would work better for you

I can’t get any devices into the system energy consumption viewer because I control my consumers via smart switches, and the system doesn’t recognize them as consumers.

System should allow adding all devices, after assigning them a power consumption in KW.

We will extend compatibility to more devices, starting from the popular models. If you have a specific model needing this feature, let us know the device ID.

You probably didn’t understand my suggestion, so I’ll explain. You don’t need to add smart devices to the database, but just enable an additional field when initializing a new device, in which the value of the electrical power would be entered, which would allow the calculation of consumption based on the record of the activated time. For example, if I don’t have a smart light bulb, but a regular one controlled via a smart switch, I currently don’t have the ability to monitor its energy consumption, but if I had the ability to enter electrical power data, I could enter 100W in that position for the smart switch and the system would be able to monitor consumption at that position. However, if I were to use another smart switch to control a heater, I could enter 500W, and the system would be able to calculate for each position where the device’s power is entered, which is currently not possible. Specifically, these are the Sonoff DUALR3 Lite, ID: 10014927f2, and the Sonoff smartswitch mini, ID: a4800bf68c

I have ZBMINI and Basic R2s connected toFar Infra Red heaters of set wattages. I’ve tried attaching a power sending plug to them and it’s not perfect to use the number but near enough not to attach a POW. For example the Far Infrared Heater behind me now is 600w and on a Sonoff Basic R2. When on you could just multiply 0.6 x time in hours and get KWH. I already do this in Node Red.

It will be supported soon;

Basic R2s is supported.

Other than these, multi-ch devices are not supported yet.

Thanks, I look for the Sonoff Basic R2 today implementation. I did not know it now existed. Do I look in Phone App, Web or locally on iHost?

Previously unsupported devices such as minir4 or sonoff r2 are now shown to me, but there is no option to add performance.

Will be very usefull if support multichanel devices (I have 4CHR3, dual R3 lite and NSPanel) !
