CK-BL702-AL-01 goes green when off

I have a CK-BL702-AL-01(7009_Z102LG03-1). When I switch it off in the app, the green LED goes to 100%.

I can set the bulb to bright red, and the green is off. Blue is the same. Various colour temperatures change correctly and mix in the right amount of green. I can dim to 1% and the bulb dims properly.

But as soon as I set it to be off, the green springs to 100%.

I’ve reset the bulb by switching it on and off several times. I’ve tried using the eWeLink app, the Hue App, the HomeAssistant app - all have the same problem. I have three other identical bulbs which don’t have this problem.

The bulb was working fine for several weeks then developed this issue. Is this something which can be fixed, or should it be junked?

Since this is a Tuya bulb rather than an eWeLink/Sonoff product, could you clarify which Zigbee coordinator you’re using? Did you actually pair the bulb with different coordinators, or are you controlling it through different apps connected to the same coordinator?

I initially paired it with a Hue Hub. Controlling it from the Hue app, Alexa App, and HomeAssistant all showed the green LED on shutdown.

I’ve since paired it to a ZBT-1 USB Zigbee adapter connected to HomeAssistant. Again, it shows green when I tell it to shut down.

It looks like the green LED is on about 10%, rather than 100% - nevertheless, I’d like it to be off when the rest of the LEDs are

It is eWeLink branded on the side, that’s why I thought this was an appropriate forum.

Thanks for clarifying. Since the issue persists with both the Hue Hub and the ZBT-1, it seems unlikely to be related to a specific coordinator or app. It could be a firmware bug or a fault in the bulb’s LED control circuitry. Unfortunately, I don’t know of a user-accessible way to reflash or repair this Tuya model.

Just to clarify, eWeLink is a smart home platform, not a hardware manufacturer. The bulb is likely made by an OEM manufacturer and branded for compatibility with the eWeLink ecosystem. The CK-BL702-AL-01 is also listed as a Tuya device in Zigbee2MQTT.

If it’s a cheap bulb, I’d probably send it to the great rainbow in the sky and save myself the troubleshooting time. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
