A Zigbee version of the S-Mate type controller would be an interesting asset to the Sonoff range. Have you ever thought about it? The SNZB-01 conversion is possible, but only allows one switch to be connected and it must be a momentary switch.
Click Vote (see above) if you could use such a device and would buy it.
I am currently using the SNZB-01 in combination with 2 Sonoff ZBMinis to turn on/off (Reverse) a table lamp and a room lamp…one click for the table lamp, two clicks for the room lamp and a long press for both lamps.
I think we need a zigbee device like SONOFF S-MATE2.
It will allow us to turn old switches into smarthome devices.
Personally, I would prefer the matter thrend versions.
There is a request on the forum for a similar device but in the M5/R5 style. But I think that both devices are needed in the sonoff product range.
The topic regarding new sonoff devices has already been discussed on the forum. But @Daniel_Zhan doesn’t speak much on this topic. I know that they are afraid to reveal their ideas and development plans.
The more devices I had at home, the more problems there were and it started somewhere around 10-15 often they were offline or they could be turned on and off then not. I solved the situation only when I bought, say, a total of three signal repeaters for each room. I think the s-mate technology is sufficient. for older distributions.
I agree because when I start a scene via ZigBee it behaves differently than the same scene via s-mate or R5, so such a button would be good or ewelink would ensure the same behavior.
I also prefer a zigbee device such as s-mate2.
but they probably won’t introduce such a device because there is little interest.
I’m starting to escape into matter.
I connect different brands into one ecosystem.
Such a Zigbee scene switch works in private clusters for single press, double press, and long press, which means that if you add the devices to other Zigbee hubs, it will not behave as full features.
That’s why we do not launch such a device yet. However, we will take it into account for our product development plan.
Devices such as the R5 and SNZB-01 work almost exclusively with the eWeLink platform, yet this has not prevented them from being included in the Sonoff range. Tuya “followers” are not bothered by this
If that’s what’s holding you back, then do the Matter (Thread) version of S-Mate.
