Hi, I’ve had some very awkward conversations with my customers about how great this is and how it works (irony). This issue won’t really affect me until they release an update for CubeOS.
What are the realistic options:
Zbbridge pro/Ultra unusable connection and devices offline.
Nspp crashes connected and full of errors.
iHost is still working, but until when?
Tech support doesn’t answer questions and sometimes they write that they are working on it. But how long should we wait when we have dysfunctional households?
I personally paid over 200e for 2x NSPP which I can only dismantle and throw in the trash. They are absolutely unusable.
The fact that NSPP / zbb-u and zbb-p have a non-functional thermostat, a non-functional zb network, devices unavailable, and non-functional scenes probably doesn’t bother the manufacturer much.
I’ll switch to a different system if they don’t fix it, no one will pay me for the time, fuel, and insults from users.
I noticed today that one of the motion sensors had connected back up. It got me to wondering. My zigbee network has never liked change so I added another one in (didn’t delete it). Waited for a couple of hours and did another one. Did that for them all and Here it is 12 hours later and they are still all connected properly. Here’s hoping they stay that way
I would suggest strongly against rebooting your bridge, unless you want to see all offline again…At least this is what I’ve experienced with 3.1.0…Upon the wifi disconnection I’m steadily at 7/48 connected in eWelink /UI , all of the sensors available within SonoffLAN / Alexa…some began acting up (as in getting stuck especially motion related ones), however given the circumstances this is a minor glitch. Automations migration to HA complete
Another thing of particular interest is that only zigbee routers (i.e. mains powered devices) are coming back online within eWelink and the UI…don’t recall a single dumb sensor appearing online after this started, weird huh?
Will we finally receive any official announcement from eWeLink/Sonoff regarding this fw?
Because I see that there are also negative comments on Google Play about people losing connection after updating to 3.1.0.
In addition, I personally still do not see the availability of 3.1.0, which may suggest that at some point the propagation of fw was stopped because it actually contains critical errors.
I’m sorry, I am the person in charge of the NSPanel Pro team and am not very familiar with the -P model. However, I have already passed along the issues to the person in charge at SONOFF. If there are any updates, they will share them with everyone.
This issue has been confirmed as a software defect that may be triggered when a large number of sub-devices are connected. We have temporarily suspended the rollout of firmware version 3.1.0 and will release a patched version(3.1.3) later today.
The update will be prioritized for users who have already upgraded to firmware version V3.1.0.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding and continued support.
My Bridge P is offline as well (so too my other devices linked to it). But, it’s still on 3.0.0
The issue seems to be certificates to the Mainland China server: cn-disp.coolkit.cc as the site cannot be reached. A quick check of other Ewelink servers: as-disp.coolki.cc , eu-disp.coolkit.cc, and us-disp.coolkit.cc all work.
Could this be something to do with the issue folks are having with devices going online?
No update here yet (EU) - might be due to slow propagation, and/or area of roll-out..will try to troubleshoot when again on premises later this evening; I’d hate to be away while remotely powercycling the systems only to find out that something’s gone downhill again. Will report back in due time..
..in the meantime I’d be interested to hear how many devices you people have with this installed acting as the primary bridge. In my case I can’t seem to wrap around my head on this theory that despite the product claiming to support UP TO 128devices, myself having 10 routers installed with it there’s support reports indicating that 50-ish devices may be too many for this bridge…not even half the advertised ones?
update: in 2 days since last reboot 11/48 devices online with 3.1.0…first “dumb” sensor came online today, kudos!
Hi, everyone. If you have upgraded to 3.1.0 but still have not received the 3.1.3 firmware update, please try logging your ewelink account again to see if you have received the firmware update.
If still not available, please send me your device ID via private message.
