What sensor to use for outside temperature/humidity measurements for eWeLink (Year range -30 +35)
That would be a big challenge to battery instead of the sensor itself

In a way - yes.
However cheap weather stations with wireless outdoor sensor can manage it 1-2 years without a battery change.
Any ideas regarding sensors that work in the temp. range? 
no idea, I have an expensive Eve Weather which only supports like -18C at most
If you have the option of permanently connecting to the power supply, use TH elite 16a x THS01 sensor
is anyone using TH elite with ihost?. what does integration look like? . you can set TH elite as a temperature and humidity sensor in scenes on ihost.
