Since updating iHost eWeLink Cube software to ver 2.10.0. On testing TRVZB adaptive mode we have noticed an issue related to relationship of Heating Status to actual mechanical opening of TRV. For example TRVZB shows ambient temperature of 25.2 deg C and target temperature set to 25.5 deg C. In this situation TRVZB will show status as ‘Heating’ but the valve will be fully (100%) closed. This causes potential problems when the ‘Heating’/ ‘Keeping’ Status of TRVZB is used for boiler control. This should not cause a problem when TRVZBs are used on District Heating Systems.
This issue has been reported to Sonoff via iHost feedback (Ticket ID 270558) but please bear this in mind if you are using TRVZBs to control a boiler especially if the heating system does not have a circulating water Flow > Return bypass.
