I worked a little with IHost. The interface needs to be improved at least to the level of the mobile version:

  1. Grouping and search function for scripts - now with a large number of them it is very uncomfortable to work.
  2. Mobile alerts about critical situations - for example, when sensors are triggered in security mode
  3. Scene execution log and custom scene backup functions are required

Hey there, thanks for the ideas,

  1. Grouping and search function for scripts - now with a large number of them it is very uncomfortable to work.
    — The interface is designed for laptops/tablets with large screen web browser and haven’t optimized that for phones.

  2. Mobile alerts about critical situations - for example, when sensors are triggered in security mode
    — Send notifications to mobile phones remotely is a cloud-based feature, since the iHost is designed as a totally localized smart home hub, we haven’t prioritized this feature, but we do received some similar request from several users.

  3. Scene execution log and custom scene backup functions are required
    — Yes, back up feature is on the evaluation phase.

Logs for sense execution is available now, you can view them separately on each since tiles.

I agree. I said many of the same things ages ago. It is more try because of the TailScale VPN. I wonder how many people are actually connecting using a big screen to their iHost using the Tailscale VPN, which is a good idea rendered much less useful by the interface. I have installed Tailscale but haven’t even tried accessing it because I know it won’t work.
And having a security tab but not notifying alarms to users was unexpectedly weird.
