Sonoff TRV Gen2 incorrect time

I’m guessing that, just like every year, there’s another issue with the time change…

@Milk

Hi, I can also confirm issues with the switch to “winter” time (-1 hour):

  1. All automations running on ZBBridge-U (running locally) kept starting at the “old” time. I resolved this by restarting the bridge.

  2. Even after restarting ZBBridge-U, the schedules on the TRV-ZBTs are still running at the “old” time. Is there some kind of time synchronization between the TRV-ZBTs and ZBBridge-U? I hope I won’t have to remove the batteries from all the TRV-ZBTs just to set the new time.

Best regards, Jan

@emma23 @Milk I would appreciate some clarification from the eWeLink/SONOFF team regarding how the TRV-ZBT maintains and synchronizes its internal clock.

Some users have reported that schedules run one hour off after the transition from daylight saving time to standard time. Understanding how the device handles time synchronization and DST would help us investigate this behaviour.

Does the TRV-ZBT synchronize its time with the eWeLink app or Zigbee gateway, or does it use another mechanism? Does it automatically adjust its clock when DST changes, or is an explicit time update required?

I checked the standard Zigbee Time cluster (0x000A) in Home Assistant ZHA, but the relevant time attributes return no values. This does not tell us how the device maintains its internal clock, so any clarification would be appreciated.

Okay, I’m checking this issue now.

From the screenshot you provided, I can’t clearly see where the one-hour delay occurs. Could you confirm whether the issue is that the displayed end time does not match the current time plus the 45-minute delay?

My understanding of the boost mode is that, once activated, it should turn off after a set duration is that correct?

For example, if it’s 18:50:03 and the boost is configured for 45 minutes, the interface shows an end time of 20:34… but shouldn’t it be 19:34(35)?
The boost is supposed to run for 45 minutes, yet the display suggests it’s set for 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The question now is, is this just an error in how the end time is displayed, or will the boost actually remain active for 1 hour and 45 minutes?

The reason I suspect the switch to winter time is this, if the time change hadn’t occurred, it would be 19:50 instead of 18:50 in which case, a 45 minute boost would indeed end at 20:35.
