hello again!
anyone in this thriving community run into the same issue as i seem to be encountering? if so, any ideas/pointers on how to solve? a bit lost.
2.4G wifi up & running
bluetooth up & running
ewelink app installed on iphone
sonoff zigbee bridge pro detected and added
sonoff switchman R5 bought to ensure full compatibility
detecting the switchman as a subdevice: seems utterly impossible.
To add a R5 as subdevice you need an eWeLink-Remote gateway. Since R5 is not a Zigbee device, you will utterly never pair it with Zigbee bridge. Use NSPanelPro, M5 or other capable Sonoff device to reach the goal.
hello jam3,
thank you, and thank you for your speedy answer .
i had indeed understood the switch had to be 𝘇𝗶𝗴𝗯𝗲𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲, and bought it assuming/misled it was. it isn’t. so back to square one.
i guess the easiest is to search “𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘻𝘪𝘣𝘨𝘦𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦” devices.
[there’s a wealth of stuff out there that pretends to be “sonoff zibgee bridge pro compatible” that is in fact only “sonoff compatible” (but not zigbee), “zigbee compatible” (but not sonoff) etc…]
all the best!
You’re welcome.
Cheers and don’t support Trump. He’s a wuss and a misogynist
