Hello. I’ve been looking for a sonoff smart lock but i cant seem to find any? Did sonoff never manufacture a smart lock and if no, does anyone know if they are planning on it?
Nobody knows? ![]()

it’s rather unlikely that there will be such a device.![]()
Thanks for the replies guys. ![]()
It’s a big shame, there is another device missing from the range and there is interest in it.
Sonoff ahould endeavour to develop a amart lock, preferably one based on the U200 design (asaptable to existing door locks), with a large battery backup, zigbee and wifi connecriciry.
A support.
Talking of siren, recently I had to use the BASIC Gen 5 as a siren controller. It is working pretty well. They already have all the components.
You also forgot the lack of vibration sensors, Wall sockets etc etc.
There’s a lot they don’t have…
They released another door sensor. They don’t care about their customers’ wishes at all. What is this forum even for?
I’ve been saying this for two years, but they still stubbornly refuse to produce either a smart door lock or a smart doorbell. I honestly can’t understand why they don’t make them.
If you are using HA, try the Aqara products, especially the U200 lite. It works with HA with just a thread border router.
No additional hubs required.
I’ve been trying to avoid using Home Assistant for a long time because all of my devices are SONOFF, and managing everything from a single app is much more convenient for me. However, at this rate, it looks like I’ll have to start using Home Assistant.
It could be great if If the Ihost, Ewelink and Cube OS were truly open to allow interoperability with other ecosystems.
I predominantly use Sonoff products at my sites. I was however forced to adopt HA because I had to integrate vibration sensors, door locks and fixed wall sockets in my installations, all of which Sonoff did not have. I also wanted battery operated door sensors in some locations (Thirdreality). All these reasons pushed me to HA.
I saw Sonoff Launched AAA battery operated door sensors. I wish they did that a while ago.
I am not sure if the new door sensors launched have vibration sensors. If they don’t, Sonoff have missed a golden opportunity to integrate vibration sensors with a door sensor.
Tell me, what’s the advantage of sensors with AAA batteries? In my opinion, they look just awful. They’re indecently big. And I don’t understand why Sonoff released them.
-
The AAA batteries are easily available. The CR 2470s are not easy to find, especially in some parts of Asia, Africa etc, I live in Africa and I have to import them.
-
AAA more affordable
-
AAA rechargeables further reduce the cost of batteries.
-
Size in some situations discourages tempering, easily seen. Same with CCTVs, just the sight of a CCTV camera discourages tempering of the door.
-
Lasts longer for the price. I can attest from.Thirdreality s3nsors that I have. They operate for more than a year (approximately 1.5 years at a very minimum, before replacement) and they usually still have plenty of SoC when replaced.
-
Trendy and demanded (why IKEA products launched recently are predominantly AAA? Look at the “well-rared” ThirdReality sensor.
AAA are safer with children -
AAA are safer when wrongly disposed.
-
Finalky, some of us who prefer AAA battery devices also deserve a product to suit our needs and taste.
Having listed all the above, I wish Sonoff will release sensors with stickers of different colours to match the background. E.g wooden colours, etc so that their sensors can blend with the environment.
