That would be correct… I also noticed the S60’s reaction around 2.5W, but the lower the value, the zero reaction. ![]()
I’m wondering why I should monitor consumption below 1 W.
Hmm, you personally may not need such low measurements.
However, when I bought the S60 I thought I would have every indication, even the smallest ones.
1W and less is still power consumption, small because small, but noticeable over the course of a year, and here we won’t even note it on the graph.
It’s the same as with my bathroom scales. I also thought I could weigh everything with them, but when I just put my contact lenses on them, they don’t show anything. When I weigh myself with my contact lenses in, it works.
LOL
You made my day.
2W IKEA MITLED is shown as 0W… whaht is the minimum power shown by S60?
2W should be detected
I use power dates as triggers…
| Longitud: | 20 cm |
|---|---|
| Flujo luminoso: | 140 lm |
| Ancho: | 2 cm |
| Altura: | 1,4 cm |
| Efecto: | 2,0 W |
This is the technical reply we expect from the manufacturer.
It seems some users have more knowledge than them
Can we set a trigger like “when the power is lower than 10W, turn it off”?
P.S. 5W will be even better
There are two options for this on the S60. You can set the minimum or maximum W, or C, V, and then the S60 will shut down. In the S60 settings, go to “Threshold Settings,” but read the information carefully.
The second option is a standard scene where you can set the W below or above a specific threshold.
Well, seems to be so. I got three plugs stacked. S60 sit in the bottom, which is expected to report the largest value…
but to be fair, it should be the cheapest among them.
S60 wear the cheapest/worst power meter chip? I can not understand why can not measure under 3W… Today many led lights are under 3W. I thought digital power meters could sense power in 1-3W…
Just got here. I just changed Tapo P110 Power devices for Sonoff S60PTG to simplify my HA installation. I now find the S60’s are virtually useless since they dont consistently report on energy. I wanted to use HA to combine energy values (say to determine usage in the Living Room, or external devices but 4, 5 or even 6 times no reading is still no reading. Has anyone received a reply which indicates Sonoff will address this issue ?
Thanks
Nope. This is probably a hardware limitation of the device itself, as discussed above. ![]()
