Just like a forum member told you, use a 24V AC relay from the pump output of the irrigation programmer (RAINBIRD), to activate the pump, you should use a 230V DIN rail contactor.

I have already posted what I have done, and it works perfectly. It’s actually a 1.1kw pump, so I use a Sonoff POWR316D to activate it. Previously, I used a BASICR2, and surprisingly it worked for 3 years without a hiccup, until I removed it. It still works, and I am going to use it for a spotlight now.
