In the photos, these new products look great and interesting. Let’s just hope the initial firmware has been thoroughly tested and that the manufacturer listens to users, because so far, that’s been rather hit‑and‑miss matter.
Very exited for the outdoor camera, but also for all the new matter products (sensors and mini series) and the fusion family mainly.
There were some items shown on social media that aren’t appearing or explained in the web, maybe that’s going to be added afterwards (for example a round thermostat with a black screen, or how they added a plug on the fusion frame/enclosure looking as “cable installed” directly to the wall… when on the back it should clearly have another conventional plug).
Great adds to the already existing catalog. Next up they should be updating some of the existing sensors to work with matter, or new matter versions… for example for the door/window sensor.
Looks like they are great products from the specs Congratulations!. Hoping the outdoor camera will be integratable and work with Home Assistant out of the box.
For example the GK-200MP2-B I bought with high expectations of integrating to my predominantly Sonoff ecosystem can only be accessible remotely through the ewelink app, and on-site only through the NS Panel Pro. I had to abandon plans of adding more Sonoff Cameras because I could not integrate the camera to the alarm system eg. motion/person detection, voice alert systems., light controlls, (switching on/offlights or Air con through person detection.
A camera in 2025 should be able to be automated to scare intruders by shouting at them, tell them to back off or tell the delivery man where they can leave the box etc
As usual, you will offer us good equipment at a favorable price, but with unfinished software, and then for a year you will assure us that you will improve the software, until the next fair at which you will present us with new, better equipment “buy yourself a new, better one”…
