New Features in Bridge-M

  • Smart Security for Matter: Arming/disarming can now be exposed to Matter-enabled platforms, mapping as On/Off toggles via Matter Bridge.
  • Channel Detection: Added support for detecting the health of Zigbee and Wi-Fi channels, and supports switching Zigbee channels.
  • Startup Sound Volume Control: Adjusting startup sound volume is now available in the Settings page.
  • Home Assistant Integration Enhancement: Firmware updates can now be checked and installed directly from Home Assistant for Bridge-M and its sub-devices synced to Home Assistant.
  • WeLink-Remote Sub-devices Support: Bridge-M now supports acting as an eWeLink-Remote gateway. Supported sub-devices include:
    • SONOFF R5
    • SONOFF R5W
    • SONOFF S-Mate
    • SONOFF S-MateR2
  • BTHome Integration: Added support for discovering eligible BTHome devices via Bluetooth LE advertising and exposing supported BTHome data to Matter-enabled platforms through Matter Bridge.

Bridge-M Feature Optimizations

  • Matter SDK Updated: The built-in Matter Bridge now runs on Matter spec V1.5.0 for better compatibility.
  • Zigbee Compatibility: Updated Zigbee2MQTT to v2.9.1 to expand Zigbee sub-device compatibility.
  • Firmware Upgrade: Updated the Zigbee module firmware to v8.0.2 to improve Zigbee connection stability.
  • Optimized Pairing: Improved Bluetooth pairing and BLE broadcast scanning performance, enhancing device discovery speed and pairing success rate.
  • Offline Detection: Optimized Zigbee offline detection logic to identify device disconnections faster and improve control reliability.
  • Home Assistant Integration Enhancements:
    • Smart Security: Optimized the Smart Security entity to a “Select” type for more intuitive control, while remaining backward compatible with existing “Switch” entities.
    • Naming: Zigbee devices now display as “brand + model” when synced to Home Assistant.
    • Authentication: Entity data is now fetched only after Home Assistant authentication succeeds.
    • Entity Icons: Home Assistant synced entities can now display the correct icons for easier recognition.
  • Matter Sync: More Wi-Fi devices can now be synced to Matter-enabled platforms, including:

Device Function Optimizations

  • Temperature Source: SONOFF TRVZB now supports using SONOFF SNZB-02B as an external temperature source.
  • Security Triggers: Added “Tamper Alert” as a Smart Security alarm trigger for SONOFF SNZB-04P and SONOFF SNZB-04PR2.
  • External Sensors: SONOFF SNZB-02DR2 now supports using SONOFF SNZB-02M and SNZB-02B as external sensors for more accurate room temperature readings.
  • Metering Data Display: Optimized the display of metering data for the Zigbee power metering plug (CK-TLSR8258-MSW-02).

Bridge-M Functionality Fixes

  • Fixed the device status reporting mechanism for battery-powered Zigbee sub-devices, reducing occurrences of incorrect offline status.
  • Fixed an issue where the Zigbee sub-device version was displayed incorrectly on the local webpage after a Zigbee sub-device upgrade.
  • Resolved the issue where the local webpage still showed that an update was available for the OTA sub-device in Home Assistant.
  • Fixed an issue where Zigbee-related functions became unavailable during gateway startup due to occasional abnormal crashes of the Zigbee module.
  • Fixed an issue where syncing the gateway to Alexa via Matter Bridge would fail.
  • Fixed an issue where, after connecting Home Assistant curtain devices to third-party Matter platforms, the switch state in the app appeared opposite to the actual physical state.
  • Fixed an issue where batch adding devices resulted in some devices failing to control.
  • Fixed an issue where writing coordinator device information failed during Zigbee startup, causing gateway startup failure.
  • Fixed an issue where the reconnection timer was not cleared after a successful Home Assistant MQTT connection was disconnected.
  • Fixed Zigbee channel scanning time and resolved the issue of Zigbee channel scanning failure in the App.

Device Function Fixes

  • Fixed a data scaling issue where temperature and humidity values for Tuya TS0201 sensors were displayed incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue where IKEA smart curtains could fail to respond to controls in the eWeLink App.
  • Fixed the issue of scenes not triggering on SNZB-02P and SNZB-06P devices.
  • Fixed an issue where TRVZB would switch to Boost mode after restarting Bridge-M in manual mode.
  • Fixed an issue where control failed after MINI-ZBDIM was added to the Matter platform via Matter Bridge.
  • Fixed an issue where temperature readings from TRVs synced via ZBBridge-U could not display as expected on NSPanel Pro.
  • Fixed an issue where the comfort level for SONOFF SNZB-02P, SONOFF SNZB-02D, and SONOFF SNZB-02DR2 could be displayed incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue where humidity was not shown in the eWeLink App for Tuya TS0201 sensors.
  • Fixed an issue where SONOFF SNZB-02M could incorrectly show air pressure comfort as out of range when no air pressure comfort range was configured.
  • Fixed data continuity for SWV-ZN / SWV-ZF devices when switching between Zigbee and Bluetooth modes.
