LS users,
Last week a new firmware version for a range of devices was launched.
Mainly it seems to handle DST better.
Due to this I looked in my eWelink settings, I think a lot of the timer issues could have been solved by setting the correct timezone!
Note: the Time zone list of eWelink is kind of special, so have a close look on all the options!
Hello guys. I had a SONOFF BASIC R2. on 28/2 i updated to new firmware 3.8.0. As of that moment the timer and programming did not work. I tried everything i could imagine, no fix. I bought another one. While it was with firmware 3.7.6 everything worked perfect. Now i just updated to 3.8.0 and having the same issue. Timer and programming does not work. Is there a fix ? Can i roll back to 3.7.6 , and how ?
After updating to 3.8.0, timer does not work. For example i activate the device manualy and i set the timer to deactivate it after 30’. When the time reaches the timer limit, the app shows that the timer deactivated the device but the device is still on.
The same thing happens with the programming feature. I set the programm to ipen the device for example at 8:00 and deactivate it at 8:30. While the app shows that the program executed the action, in reality the device remains idle.
That is the problem. Automatic settings are made for all days of a week, but do not work.
Manual mode works normal. Problem starts on NSPanel after upgrade to 1.6
The execution time of the device is primarily based on the time zone you set in the eWeLink app. It will follow your phone’s system time if you haven’t set it beforehand.
Timezone was right set all the time - Europe/Prague.
Now i found that Europe/Ljubljana exists too, so i changed to it - Ljubljana is my exact location.
But it is the same timezone as Prague so i did not expect any change.
And there is really no difference - two dashes are still there, if i switch to automatic.
Please submit a support ticket in eWeLink app (Profile - Help & Feedback - top right Feedback), and our tech engineer can get the device logs and check.
