MINI-ZBRBS in Pulse mode requires two switch presses

Hi,

I am facing a problem with a couple MINI-ZBRBS and I am available for troubleshooting/testing if it can help fix the issue.

When I want to use my Impulse curtain wall switch to Open or Close my curtain, I always have to press the corresponding button twice. With a 1-2s interval in between the first and second press. The first press is always ignored.

If I anticipate and perform the ignored press right after my curtain fully opened or closed, my switch will be ready and react to the first press. Even minutes later.

I use two MINI-ZBRBS with a SONOFF iHost and Legrand 600022 Impulse switches.

Both switches and curtains behave the same.

My MINI-ZBRBS are set to Pulse Mode. They run firmware version 1.0.5 and are calibrated. I tried manual and automated calibration.

When I open or close a curtain, L out 1 or L out 2 will return to 0V after a couple minutes, as opposed to this topic.

Please note that I also experience disconnects as described in MINI-ZBRBS Loosing Connection.

FYI @LenoDuan

The issue seems to be related to iHost. @Jemma

We have aware of the issue you’re facing. We will work on reproducing and resolving the problem as soon as possible. If you’re willing to provide us with a system log from iHost , that would be very helpful.

Thank you @MichaelLearnsToCode, @Jemma.

I wonder if it is related to the iHost, since the described behaviour is local, in between my physical switch and the MINI-ZBRBS module.

I will share my iHost logs on Tuesday.

Thanks again, I uploaded my logs a couple minutes ago using the Feedback feature in iHost and referred to this topic.

Hello, thank you for your feedback! We have received your ticket information, but we haven’t seen the attached log file in the ticket yet.
Considering that the log file may be too large to upload directly, we recommend uploading the system logs to Google Drive and sharing the link with us.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Thanks Minnie it should be available to you on Google Drive now.

Hi, I have a similar issue: the MINI-ZBRBS is connected to the SONOFF Zigbee Bridge Ultra. I’ve been in touch with Sonoff support, but so far without success. They promised to upload a test version of the software to one unit, but haven’t done so yet.

  1. If the blind is not in an end position (range 1–99%), control via the momentary button works correctly and as expected. When the button is pressed, the blind starts moving and stops when the button is pressed again.

  2. However, if the blind is in one of the end positions (0 or 100%), the blind does not start moving when the button is pressed the first time; it is necessary to press the button a second time, and only then does the blind begin to move. It doesn’t matter how long the roller shade has been in the end position (whether 1 second or 1 hour)

  3. I believe that the internal logic of the MINI-ZBRBS should correctly switch to the PAUSE state upon reaching the end position, so that the subsequent button press triggers the OPEN or CLOSE command, but this does not happen

  4. I tried creating temporary scenes on one roller shutter where the PAUSE command is automatically activated 30 seconds after the OPEN and CLOSE commands are triggered. Thanks to this, this one roller shutter now works correctly and does not require a double-press of the button at the end positions.

  5. I am therefore convinced that the problem lies in the fact that the internal logic does not automatically switch to PAUSE mode upon reaching the end position (which is correctly detected and displayed in the Ewelink app).

Hello, thank you for your detailed feedback. The issue you encountered with the MINI-ZBRBS needing to be pressed twice when used with a momentary switch is currently a known issue. Our technical team has already taken note of it and plans to optimize it in a future firmware version. We will keep you updated on any progress regarding specific firmware releases. Thank you again for your patience and support!

Hello.
When do you plan to release a new firmware version?

Hello, thank you for your interest! Our current plan is to release the new firmware version after mid‑May. Once the exact release date is confirmed, a firmware update notification will be pushed. Please keep an eye on the official announcement or the in‑app notification. Thank you for your patience and support!

Why is it taking so long? A new product that is one year old? It discourages people from buying newer products.

Hello, we fully understand how you feel, and thank you for your continued attention and patience.

Currently, our team is focusing resources on optimizing several core features. However, we take the issue you reported very seriously and have internally marked it as “urgent”. We will do our utmost to advance it as soon as possible. Once we have a clear version plan, we will notify you immediately through official channels.

Thank you again for your support and understanding. We will live up to your expectations.
