Hello, I am impressed with iHost and eWeLink Cube so far. Was able to add IKEA Fyrtur shade device and exposed it to HomeKit. In both iHost dashboard and Apple Home, the control of the shade is reversed from the action. For example, iHost device shows shade fully Closed with it is fully Open and vice versa. Perhaps an option could be provided to flip the orientation of the control?
- The difference in percentage for Matter curtains in iHost and Apple Home isn’t a bug—it’s just a definition issue. Apple shows “40% Open,” while eWeLink CUBE shows “60% Closed.”
Hey,
Can you confirm if this is your case or the state is actually reversed?
It is reversed, not just in Apple Home. It is reversed in the iHome web UI. See attached screenshot. The shade is fully rolled up/open.
could you please download the logs and share them with us?
Attached is debug log for the shade device close then open (open is the final state in the log.) Also a screenshot of the device details in the iHost web UI. I should have added earlier, when I ask Siri to open or close shade, it works. Siri thinks the shade is Open even though iHost UI shows the shade is fully closed. Apple Home app shows “Opening…” in progress continuously even though the shade is fully opened. So I think Apple HomeKit is reversing the shade open/close state.

Thx for the info
@SuiKa Could u plz take a look when available? Many thanks
You’re right about the conclusion.
Apple HomeKit is reversing the shade open/close state.
Because it’s an action by HomeKit itself, there’s nothing we can do about it.
