I’m getting a bit concerned with the reliability of iHost CAST when accessing using Taliscale or iHost Remote Access. I am aware that the iHost sign in screen can be accessed remotely by router forwarding a user defined WAN service port to port 80 of the iHost ip address. I am wondering if anyone knows if iHost exposes a port for the CAST. Thanks
It’s just the x.x.x.x/cast rather than a specific port locally so my guess is it is the same port 80 as usual, unless they’ve also put it on a separate port for remote accessing, for example from their Tablet App.
I think you are right as I couldn’t see any additional ports open on iHost when looking at the CAST user interface when it was being accessed via Taliscale and the eWeLink Cube Remote Access url
