【i-HOST and SONOFF Indoor Siren SNZB-09P】THE ALARM TONE SELECTION IS NOT WORKING YET

How is it possible that the alarm tone selection on this device is still not working on the i-HOST?

Only four volume levels and a maximum duration of 900 seconds can be selected.

The audible alarm and light can be turned on or off, but the alarm tone selection list does not appear.

This feature is advertised on the website, yet it is NOT working. Is this a finished device or a prototype?

SNZB-09P Firmware Version: 1.1.2
i-HOST Version: 2.13.2

It’s hard not to feel disappointed as a customer after seeing the advertisement on their website.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. IHost supports setting alarm tones for the SNZB‑09P. To help us locate the issue where the alarm sound dropdown list does not appear, could you please provide the following information:

  • The browser you are using and its version number;

  • Your custom language pack file.

Please note that in recent iHost versions, the alarm tone names will be updated to match those shown on the SNZB‑09P product page.

Thank you again for your understanding and support.

Here you are all you ask me:

Hello,
After investigation, we found that the custom language pack contains certain letters highlighted in red in the screenshot below, which prevented the alarm sound dropdown list from loading correctly. In the attachment, we have replaced them with the system‑recognizable {index}. Please upload the new language pack and verify.

When using a custom language pack, we would kindly suggest that you keep placeholders such as "${...}", "{...}", and "\'" in the “Original” text unchanged. You can simply copy them as‑is into the “Custom” field – this will help prevent similar issues. We appreciate your understanding and support.

Good morning.

Thank you for your prompt response.

Please excuse my mistake.

I had indeed checked line 4756 of the custom language pack repeatedly, specifically “{index}”, but I failed to notice that the error was in the accent on the “i” in {index}. I know that variables within curly braces {}, as well as ${} and “'”, should never be translated or modified in any way.

From this point forward, I will modify and update all posts on the ewelink forum regarding the custom language pack in the languages I contribute to.

Thank you very much.

Best regards
