WiFi device can be paired in two modes, Quick Pairing and Compatible Pairing. Before you start to add a device, please make sure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network.
Quick Pairing

Press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds until the LED indicator blinks twice and pause repeatedly.

Open eWeLink app and tap the ‘+’ button at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap ‘Quick Pairing’.

Enter the password of selected SSID. Tap ‘Next’.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete pairing.
Note:
If the firmware on your device is 3.0 or later, your device is in quick pairing mode out of box. Skip step 1 and start by opening eWeLink app.
Compatible Pairing
If you failed to add a device in quick pairing mode, make sure you have entered the correct password for your 2.4G WiFi.
In case that pairing fails even with correct WiFi SSID and password, try compatible pairing mode.
- Tap ‘Compatible mode’
- Make your device enter quick pairing mode. Then press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds again. When the LED indicator blinks constantly, it is in compatible pairing mode. Tap ‘Next’.
- Tap the right arrow and select a 2.4G WiFi to pair your device and enter the password for this SSID.
- Tap ‘Connect’.

For iOS users, eWeLink will open the settings of your phone. Connect to a WiFi that looks like ‘ITEAD-XXXXX’ with the password ‘12345678’. (Android users can skip this step)

You will see a prompt that says eWeLink want to join the WiFi you selected to pair the device. Tap ‘Join’.
- You will see the device has been added successfully. You may change its name and add it to rooms now or do it later.
