I’m looking for guidance on how to properly update the firmware of an NSPanel Pro when developer mode is enabled.
What is the recommended process to update the firmware in this configuration?
Where can I find the APK files corresponding to the latest official versions?
Recent firmware updates seem to have significantly improved the device, to the point where using third-party software may no longer be necessary. I’d like to move back to a fully native setup but want to ensure I’m following the correct update path.
It’s great that you’re ready to return your NSPanel Pro to the warm embrace of stock firmware — truly a noble quest.
There’s just one tiny problem. We have absolutely no idea what state your device is currently in. Right now your question reads a bit like “How do I safely undo everything I’ve done? …but I won’t tell you what I’ve done."
To give you anything resembling a reliable update path, we’d need at least the basics:
your current firmware version
whether the device is rooted
how developer mode was enabled (ADB, exploit, magic incantation…)
whether any system apps were removed or replaced
whether OTA updates are still functional
whether the device is still linked to eWeLink
Without that, any advice is just guesswork — and NSPanel Pro is not the kind of device you want to guess with. Share a bit more about your current setup, and then we can talk about “recommended processes” instead of fortune‑telling.
Similar cases have already been discussed on the forum. Just use Search abd see for yourself.
I think the simplest solution is to contact the eWeLink Team. If you enabled ADB mode, it rules out OTA updates — but this can probably be worked around. Write to eWeLink! Don’t forget to include your panel’s ID.
