I do not see how to change from imerial to metric while creating a wall plan?

Missing garage door symbol under basic shapes. SHould be typically 4-5 winder compared to standard door when place on a floor plan.

Hi, today I attempted to create my floor plan and encountered several issues.

First, the system sometimes struggles to recognise walls. If I try to build the layout using the assisted “describe and draw” method, outlining my entire house with internal partitions, the platform does not allow me to assign rooms correctly. It still treats the whole house as a single room. When I use “walls everywhere,” it works properly, which suggests that the recognition logic needs improvement.

Second, when I add an outside fence to mark my front or back garden, the system does not allow me to label that area using the same naming options available inside the house. For example, I cannot mark my front garden area where I have a camera installed. Because of this, I cannot add that camera to the floor plan. If I create actual walls around the garden, then the system allows naming and linking devices, but a fence should work in the same way.

It would also be helpful to allow a custom canvas background (e.g., grass texture) for garden areas instead of using only flat colours.

Lastly, when selecting a room type (e.g., Kitchen), the room name appears fixed at the side, often overlapping a wall. It would be useful if the room name could be repositioned manually.
this is a feedback at the moment what i can give playing with that for 5min.

Thank you.

Room name can be moved, when you are in Layout “mode” (fist tab)

The current logic for the drawing requires fully closed rooms to assign the devices, assuming we have our rooms in eWeLink mapped to physical rooms. This would not be the case for many people: on an open space floor, I may have two rooms in eWelink: ie kitchen + living room, while is a single physical area.

In my opinion it would be a better idea (hopefully not difficult to implement), to allow the user to drag an drop freely the devices all over the drawings. This would be much more flexible, and it will also add the option to decide which devices you want to see on the drawing, if you don’t want them all.

Yes sorry i try now and i can move name, comment under have good idea to could adding manually devices to place in the floor plan freally, and as well tick with device i want to have on floor plan and with one not. good sugestion.

Good evening,
First of all, I wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity to preview the Floor Plan.
When creating rooms, I noticed the following problems:
1- Difficulty entering precise room measurements (only by zooming in is it possible to scroll by individual centimeters, and this requires good manual dexterity);
2- When drawing rooms with the wall or partition tool from right to left, the temporary measurement height appears upside down;
3- Inability to identify low or non-existent walls (for example, in the case of an open-plan kitchen/living room);
4- Skylights are missing from the layout as an alternative to windows;
5- Device icons are difficult to see when turned on.
These are my suggestions for improving the drawing:
1- Ability to enter the height using the alphanumeric keyboard: first click to determine the starting point, move the mouse, enter the length using the keyboard, and press Enter to confirm.
2- Modification to the drawing program to ensure that every measurement is readable and not mirrored;
3- Insertion of low walls into the layout or the possibility of breaking up partitions in the case of large openings without doors;
4- Insertion of skylight pictograms into the layout;
5- Increase the brightness of the icons when lit to better highlight them at a glance.
I would say that the rest of the work is well done and suitable for providing a schematic representation of the location of the various devices.
Hoping this has been helpful, thank you in advance.
Best regards

I’ve contacted you via private message. When you have time, please feel free to reply.

what if i have virtual rooms like “Water leak”, “Temperatures”, “Presence”, (…), bathroom, living room, bedroom, kitchen.
How can i add one sensor from “Presence” to living room?

i strongly agree

hi

This is my layout

The problem I’m having is that I can’t locate the devices I have in the garden.

The other drawback is that the 4-channel devices control devices in several rooms, and it also doesn’t allow me to separate the channels in each room.

Hello, I have the same problem like aristide.bronda. When entering in the ewelink/floorplan site, nothing happens and redirects me in the normal ewelink web site.

Where is your garden located? I’m having trouble finding it in the picture. And does it form a closed shape?

Multi-channel devices support splitting into separate tiles for display. Once split, they can be placed in different room locations. This feature will be implemented in the official release.
