Confirmation for device trigger via all

Good day!

This request might sound silly, and some might find it hard to imagine in what scenario this would be required, but here goes!

I have a Mini R2 connected to a water tank Float switch, and this triggers a scene to activate the well pump which is connected to a POWR316D.

I also have a Mini R4 connected to a relay which gets triggered by the irrigation controller. That one triggers a scene to activate the irrigation pump connected to another POWR316D.

There is NEVER any manual intervention required, the irrigation controller and the float always determines the device status.

It’s happened twice that I’ve scrolled through my devices on Ewelink, and accidentally triggered one of those two. I did put them at the bottom of the list, which does help. The other tissue is I share the home with someone else in the app so accidents do happen.

A feature where accidental click would not trigger the devices without confirmation would certainly be helpful.

I expect not many would see any use case for this but who knows!

The device lock feature that would prevent accidental activation has been discussed many times. The development team said they would consider it. Personally, it’s a useful thing, although some consider it unnecessary, I don’t.

Device lock would be the correct description that I could not think of at the time.

It seems like it could be easy enough to integrate it into the app without the need for device firmware changes.

Let’s see what happens.
