BUG eWeLink CUBE/ iHost

I have noticed what is potentially a bug and reported the issue to Sonoff via the iHost feedback facility. This does not present too much of a problem with Basic Switches but particularly for TH10/ TH16 it does mean that when running the Auto Schedule which can only be set up and activated from the eWeLink app the correct status of the switch will not be displayed in iHost home screen and any iHost scenes that are triggered by the status of the switch will not run. This is the text of what I have reported to Sonoff:

BUG IDENTIFIED: wifi devices (eg Basic 2, TH10, TH16 with LAN mode enabled) not synchronising their status from eWelink app. to iHost
scenario example: Basic 2 is switched ON and OFF from eWeLink app- status does not change on iHost Home Screen. But if device is switched ON and OFF from iHost its status does change on iHost Home Screen and in eWeLink app.

We’ve got the message.
We’ll try to reproduce it and see if it’s a bug.

In the mean time, please send us the smart-home add-on log via feedback to helps us identify the problem.

I have sent the log from my iHost via feedback. The issue seems to be resolved now.

Thanks

We’ve checked the ticket, but no log in it.
The issue was resolved?
Did you upgrade your iHost or do anything to it?

Hi, the issue seems to be resolved. The iHost is ver 2.2.0- did not change anything. I sent the log via iHost feedback tab. I have attached an extract of the smart home Log covering the period 2024-08-28 T 23:11:43 to 2024-09-29 T 08:36:59 (UK BST).
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi although this problem resolved it has started to occur again- I have submitted the following feed back via iHost:
“Synchronisation problem between eWeLink phone app and iHost eWeLink Smart Home. Description: WiFi devices can be controlled (switched ON and OFF) from iHost and eWeLink phone app. If device is switched ON or OFF from iHost correct condition is indicated on iHost and eWeLink phone app. If device is switched ON or OFF from phone app correct condition will be indicated only on phone app not on iHost. For Sonoff TH10 phone app and iHost show different temperatures. Has been earlier reported (218245)”

The wifi devices operate ok locally but one of my scenes in iHost relies on the temperature from a Sonoff TH10 to control another device (Sonoff Basic Wifi Switch).

Thanks

Can you send us the eWeLink device id of the problematic device?

Thanks for your help- I’ve rebooted the iHost which has resolved the problem. The problem was affecting all wifi devices conncted to my iHost:

Sonoff 4CH Pro fver 3.7.6 id 1001d509af

all of the above devices have LAN control mode enabled

New Smart TH20 fver 3.5.0 id 1001e22761 (this device does not have LAN mode capability)

I am also in communication with Daniel at Sonoff about this issue

Daniel will continue to follow up on the issue.
Thanks for your patience.

There seems to be a deep rooted issue with wifi devices synchronising with iHost. With all of my Sonoff wifi devices with LAN Mode enabled I disabled their ability to access the internet with the router access control. I found the following effects:

TH10/16 temperature does not update in iHost home screen (Sonoff literature says that in LAN Mode sensor temperature value is available).

All wifi devices- If the push button switch is pressed the relay toggles but the iHost home screen display does not follow the change.
