AIR GUARD SAWF-08P: Do not disturb mode (DND)

Attention sleepers ! :

Last night, even though DND mode was activated and the time (approximately 6 am), was within the DND range; the moment CO2 reached the alarm threshold (1501 ppm), the audible alarm was activated, waking everyone up.

I assume this anomaly will be fixed in the new version.

It’s nice when they have such mistakes.

I think it’s a disaster. These are brand new products and they should be released in better condition. It seems like the quality controls aren’t adequate or sufficient.

Sorry about the disturbance — we understand how disruptive this can be, especially during the night.

For this newly released product, we have tested the DND behavior internally and did not observe the audible alarm being triggered during the DND period. That said, we take your report seriously and are reviewing this behavior to identify any possible edge cases.

May we ask whether this issue is still occurring? If it does happen again, would it be possible for you to record a short video showing the DND and alarm settings so we can better understand the situation?Could you also please share the device ID?

Thank you for your support and cooperation.

I haven’t been able to get the “Sound Alert” to play during a Do Not Disturb (DND) period.

For safety, I now make sure the “Sound Alert” is deactivated every day while I’m resting. I only activate the air quality indicator with a DND period.

During testing, I’ve detected another anomaly: When more than one DND period is created, I don’t see a way to select which one to activate from among all the periods, nor a way to delete a period that is no longer needed. For example, the secon one in the screenshot. (See screenshot)

The same behavior about SAWF-07P.

Thanks for the detailed feedback and for sharing the device ID.

Regarding your questions:

  1. Deleting a DND period
  • On the DND period list, you can swipe left on a period to delete it.

  1. How multiple DND periods work
  • If you create more than one DND period, the system applies the union of all periods.

  • In other words, all configured periods are active and will be executed. If any period covers a given time, DND will be in effect during that time.

If you only want a single DND window, please delete the extra periods and keep only the one you need.

I’ve already verified the DND period behavior on the SAWF-07P and SAWF-08P, and it works exactly as you described.

Perfect, and thank you very much.

On Saturday night (January 10th) into Sunday morning (January 11th), at exactly midnight, both my SAWF-07P and SAWF-08P devices were configured with the same Do Not Disturb (DND) period every day, from 11:15 PM to 9:30 AM, for both the “Sound Alert” and the “Air Quality Indicator.” Suddenly, on both devices simultaneously, without any local action being taken, the “Air Quality Indicator” illuminated and the “Sound Alert” activated.

A few moments later, I deactivated both alerts to avoid being woken up again while I was resting.

I couldn’t record a video, but I saw it with my own eyes.

I don’t know if this will help resolve the issue I described regarding the DND period, but I’m sharing it here in case it might be useful. (The SAWF-07P ID is 10027ce29b).

It happened again on the night of Saturday to Sunday at 0:00 exactly the same with the DND period.

Next weekend I will record a video.
