Timer to get notification if something is on too long

Hmm If you mean controlling sonoff via webhook then yes although ewelink ecosystem does not have the ability to receive a variable value.

Not many other options directly in SEQU. Apart from email, you can technically set up any webhook or IFTTT. Alternatively, you can pair your ewelink account with SEQU and then you can add a Sonoff device as an action… for example, start led369 as a notification.

If you have ewelink web, you can create a webhook as IF and use it to initiate some sonoff device, but it’s the same as above, only done a little differently.

However, if you wanted to use ewelink notifications, it would be difficult or impossible.

If you use Android, you can look into MacroDroid, which has its own webhook as a trigger. Then you can make almost any solution for the notification.

Tell us what kind of notification you would like exactly, and we’ll think about it together.

SMS or WhatsApp would work. Ill try to look at iftt. I’m sure they got something.

MacroDroid has it all…

But IFTTT probably has these options too…

iPhone user… :frowning:

Unfortunately I don’t know anything similar for apple.

Buy the cheapest phone/tablet and put it in your home as a central solution.

More seriously, if you have a paid ewelink plan, look at IFTTT, they should have something similar and then from SEQU via webhook to IFTTT you will initiate a notification.

You can also install the IFTTT app on your Apple device and receive notifications from there via webhook.

IFTTT also has options for SMS but I think there are limits of 100 and maybe other restrictions…

There are indeed services that integrate notifications via webhook call and send them to WhatsApp, but most of them are $ and more or less require delving into the topic because they are not simple click-click solutions.

IFTTT, become paid in the ass… no free option

So the eWeLink Advanced Plan doesn’t give you any extras in IFTTT except for the fact that there is the possibility of pairing hmmm… Strange… I used to think it gave me something but maybe I remember wrong.

I’m telling you, buy yourself the cheapest phone/tablet with Android (9 above) and MacroDroid and make your own notifications  forget about the greedy IFTTT…

Apparently a lot has changed because the last time I touched IFTTT the free version gave many more options and 5 applets and now 2.

@ward What does vip ewelink give us in IFTTT, only triggers and pairing?

@StephenJ

In the IFTTT app, eWeLink devices can be set as trigger and action.

So it doesn’t give us much, unfortunately… IFTTT is expensive and the free version is a joke.
