It would be great if the ewelink family added a device for measuring pool water quality.

for measuring basic pool water values such as chlorine content, pH, water hardness, etc. or to measure chlorine-free chemistry based on the oxygen principle.

There are already floating devices on the market, unfortunately only supporting Tuya. It would be nice if Evelink added these devices to its portfolio or if Sonoff made its own for Evelink.

Does anyone have any experience with something similar?

and possibly if ihost supports any such device

I use 2 sonoff external temperature sensors for my pool. I agree it would be nice to control at least the chlorine level too.

As chlorine is an ion could you measure resistance as a proxy or are they too many other ions?

you can measure orp and then calculate the chlorine value together with the pH

If you want to home make something I’d pretend to be a CO2 sensor or something and use the GitHub Espressif Arduino core zigbee example to flash onto an esp32c6 and attach a specific sensor to measure your particular thing.
