NSPanel Pro: Someone started it, abandoned it and forgot it?

@ward
In the eWeLink app, the NSPanel Pro’s Device Settings tab includes an option for Smart Scene settings. This could suggest that scenes are created and stored locally in NSPanel Pro. I have noticed that many users are confused about this. Yet the scenes created here are stored in the cloud, like everything else from the app. Even when a scene is created here, it is still not listed and no logs are available. All you can see is ‘No scenes. Tap ‘+’ to create one’, even though a scene has actually been made. So why is it here? Some unfinished idea? Someone started it, abandoned it and forgot it? Or was/is there actually a plan for local scenes in NSPanel Pro?

hey hey hey,

It’s a universal entry that should be accessible from most devices’ settings tab. It’s to facilitate users in checking what scenes are created that contain the specific device.

Good idea, but it requires reworking so its purpose is obvious. In present form, it’s somewhere in between, for you to take an inteligent guess why & what.

Maybe we can change the text on the entry or add notes on the tab to further clarify its purpose?

This is what you should do. Among other things, this will close the case of misinterpretation of the purpose of this option in NSPanel Pro.
