My opinion on the Prime plan and the future of the Premium subscription. I’m not just concerned, but convinced that with the release of the Prime subscription, we shouldn’t expect any significant improvements for Premium subscribers, much less those who don’t even subscribe to Premium, since all efforts will be focused on Prime, and naturally, all the best features will be available in Prime. So, those who aren’t willing to pay for Prime shouldn’t expect anything interesting in the future!!! It’s sad!!!

Anyone who sells something as soon as they have something newer is losing it. Software and hardware development costs money and this is one way to finance development. I have the premium package even though I don’t need it. I have no idea how Sonoff will handle this and I would be surprised if they improved the premium package.

I’m also tired of all the trend of tiered subscriptions for items I purchased, but this is a business and profit is the driver here.
Personally, I buy everything either on AliExpress if it’s new products, or locally. Ordering from Sonoff isn’t profitable for me, since I have to pay for delivery. So, I’m not interested in various coupons and discounts. This leads me to the conclusion that if I subscribe, I’ll get something I don’t need. If they’re introducing new features and want to make extra money, they should make it possible to choose additional features for a separate fee. This way, we can create our own list of necessary improvements and not pay for things we don’t need. I’m willing to pay extra for the “home plan” and voice control, if the costs justify the wait, of course; I don’t need anything else for now. Although I’m still very surprised that they released Prime. All users and forum participants contribute their ideas for improving Ewelink. After Prime, should we get Prime+, Pride, or Pride+?

I agree, so that means even though I’m on the advanced plan, that is now useless, because they decided we now need to pay for another tier to get additional functionality. It’s pathetic.

My existing subscription becomes progressively worthless as the Prime plan becomes the latest vehicle to extort revenue.
Given Ewelink is effectively a proprietary brand - mainly drives sonoff - perhaps sonoff should invest a little more in irs customer base.

I hadn’t thought about that. Indeed, Sonoff isn’t used anywhere except in Ewelink and, in a few cases, in Homasitmem. It’s in their interests for Ewelink to develop. The better and more stable Ewelink is, the more sales they’ll get. But for some reason, they’re going down the path where the end consumer has to pay for everything.
