DST/BST Automatic Change

Oh dear Sonoff!

THE most fundamental aspect of most control systems is related to time and for the iHost not to consider daylight saving time or, in my case BST, is simply unforgivable.

Very poor.

It is, indeed.

Mine which is connected to the Internet changed over from GMT to BST automatically- no problems.

Thanks for the feedback

I can now see that I chose the wrong UTC: GMT instead of London, who knew? Silly me!

Can any users of iHost with Node-RED please check what time Node_RED thinks it is please?

Although iHost now has the correct time, for me, Node-RED still thinks it’s on GMT…

If not configure, the timezone of iHost or Node-red should all follow browser timezone, which is calibrated by your operation system timezone.
Is it properly configured?

Thank you for your response SuiKa.

What am I doing wrong (see below)…

So what am I doing wrong please?

If you need a custome timezone, use the add-on environment varibles is recommended.

Try the following steps:

  1. Backup all your node setting by exporting to a flow.json file.

  2. delete the node-red add-on.
  3. run it with the timezone you need as environment varible.
  4. Wait for it to start and you will find the timezone change as you set it.
  5. Import your backup file.

The list of supported timezone can refer to here:

Thank you. I will let you know how I get on.

Your server that serves the eWeLink APP to the U.K. and sends out Push notifications didn’t automatically change to British Summer Time from Greenwhich Mean Time (GMT).
